Thank You Pastor Mark (1).png

Pastor Mark Pangel will be leaving 4 Points Church effective December 16th to work with Venue Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He and his wife, Leah, founded 4 Points in October 2011, and Pastor Mark has led the church to bring the Kingdom of God to the Upstate of South Carolina. While 4 Points will miss Pastor Mark and his family, we are excited to see how God uses them in the future and how He continues to build His Kingdom here in the Upstate.

Important Stuff

We know you have questions.  Here are some answers.

  • Who will be the new pastor?  A replacement has not been named yet. Our board and elders are prayerfully considering candidates and trusting that God will bring the right man to lead 4 Points.

  • Why is Pastor Mark leaving?  He is leaving to accept the call to partner with Venue Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He has a close relationship with the lead pastor, Tavner Smith, and will be using his experience and skills to further the Kingdom there.

  • Who will be preaching?  During the transition period, guest speakers will be preaching on Sunday mornings.

  • What does the transition look like?  During the transition, the only noticeable difference will be during the message on Sunday mornings. Worship, youth, small groups, and serving teams will all remain the same. Our goal is for people to have the same 4 Points experience as always.

  • How long will this take?  There is no definitive timetable for the length of the transition. The leadership is actively working but remaining prayerfully patient during this time.

  • What about The Promise?  Our plans are to continue to raise funds to pay off the land, and we are excited about the future home of 4 Points!

  • Will I have a chance to say goodbye?  Yes! We are having a party for the Pangel family on Sunday, December 16th from 5:30-7:30. You will have a chance to hug them, thank them, and wish them good luck then!
  • Where can I see Pastor Mark's message where he talks about making this decision?
