Three-Day Devotional
Day 1 – Who Is Sitting on the Throne?
Read:
Daniel 2:46–49;
Daniel 3:1–6
King Nebuchadnezzar admitted that Daniel's God was powerful. But he never gave God control of his life. In the very next chapter, he built a huge golden image and demanded everyone bow to it.
It is possible to admire God without surrendering to Him.
Many people believe God exists. They may even enjoy going to church. But following Jesus means more than believing facts about Him. It means letting Him be Lord over every part of our lives.
Ask yourself today: Is there an area where I know what God says but I am choosing my own way instead?
God isn't looking for admiration. He is looking for surrendered hearts.
Reflect:
What is one area where God is asking you to trust and obey Him?
Pray:
Jesus, I don't want to simply admire You. I want You to be Lord of every part of my life. Help me surrender what I have been holding onto. Amen.
Day 2 – Even If
Read:
Daniel 3:16–18
One of the most powerful statements in the Bible is, "But even if He does not..."
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego believed God could rescue them. But they also knew that even if He chose not to, He was still worthy of their worship.
Real faith is not based on getting everything we want.
Real faith says, "I trust God because of who He is, not because of what He gives me."
Sometimes God says yes. Sometimes He says wait. Sometimes He says no.
No matter His answer, He is still faithful.
Reflect:
Would you still follow Jesus if He didn't answer one of your biggest prayers the way you hoped?
Pray:
Father, help me love You more than the things I ask You for. Teach me to trust Your heart even when I don't understand Your plans. Amen.
Day 3 – God Meets Us in the Fire
Read:
Daniel 3:19–27
God did not keep the three friends out of the furnace.
Instead, He joined them in it.
Sometimes we ask God to remove the hard things in our lives. Sometimes He does. Other times He walks with us through them.
Notice something amazing in the story. The fire burned away their ropes, but it did not harm them.
God often uses hard times to remove fear, pride, selfishness, or other things that keep us from fully trusting Him.
The fire may be painful, but God is always working for our good.
You are never alone in your struggle. God is with you.
Reflect:
What "fire" are you walking through today? How could God be using it to grow your faith?
Pray:
Lord, thank You for never leaving me alone. Help me trust that You are working even when life is hard. Thank You for walking with me through every trial. Amen.
