Daily Devotion – June 10

Day 161 – June 10

Clean hands/Pure heart can’t lose

“But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.” James 4:6-8

The goal of each of us who call ourselves followers of Jesus should be to walk with clean hands and a pure heart. But those are just words to a song or a cliche’ unless we follow the instructions above.

With surrendered hearts, walking in humility to do whatever God has called us to do today, our natural response is to draw near to God and when we do He draws near to us.

Pray something like this over your life today:
“Lord whatever you call me to do, whenever you call me to do I will do it! Pour out your blessing on me. I receive all of your grace and mercy with humility and acceptance as to your will. Lord, will you crush the pride in my heart and make it pure as snow so everything that touches my hands, that hits my eyes. and that comes to my ears will be as innocent as a child but with the Wisdom that comes from you? I am your man/woman and in Jesus’ name the Devil has no place in my home, my life, my job, or my family. I am yours, King Jesus, and I will not waiver for anyone or anything. You alone are my heart’s desire, Lord,
I love you back. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

We’re more than conquerors in Christ.
